About Patrick

I was initially trained in the telecoms industry as a TO (Technical Officer) in electronic repeater stations and then moved to Bristol to join the Aerospace industry repairing all sorts of electronic equipment.
It was there I started getting involved with computers - machine code actual 0's and 1's.
To programme in machine code you need to understand how the microprocessors work so this was a good grounding in computer 'chips'.
Moving on from there I was then introduced to assembler language - 6502 and Z80 which evolved into the current day PC chips.
Following my work in assembler I started on the high level languages Basic, Forth, VB, C moving on to OOP languages C++ and Java.
I then moved to another company in the Aero Industry as a Systems Analyst getting involved with designing databases.
This gave me a good grounding in understanding good databases design.
By this time I was also designing websites and doing some teaching: C, VB, C++, Java and website design. Those of you with some knowledge of binary may appreciate the 1+1=3.
Then another change, I was then employed to write online database applications and look after the server. Probably the most rewarding job up to that time.

At this point I joined forces with two other very experienced people David and Ray.
We decided to combine the skills and experience of all three of us, forming a partnership
"The Internet People LLP" which brings us up to the present time.
Away from computers: I like playing badminton, hill walking mainly the lake district and I like to Jive to Rock 'n' Roll music, bit of an old rocker at heart, and I like a pint with my friends.
Well - that's me. Patrick.
